01. By virtue of an order dated 18.02.2014, the writ petition SWP No. 382/2014 came to be disposed of with a direction to the writ respondents No. 1 Commissioner/Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, Government of J&K to consider the representation of the petitioner and to take a decision thereupon within a period of eight weeks relatable to the claim of the petitioner for promotion to the post of Medical Superintendent in Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu. 02. The institution of the present contempt petition had taken place on 11.02.2016 i.e. almost after a period of two years from the date of passing of the order dated 18.02.2014.
03. Ever since, the institution of the contempt petition, the petitioner has not come forward with any application whatsoever to apprise this Court about the status of the compliance of the writ court direction meaning thereby the needful came to be carried out and the petitioner’s claim was accorded consideration and, therefore, the present contempt petition has been rendered infructuous with the efflux of time, hence dismissed.
