N CRIMINAL PETITION No.3475 OF 2025 ORDER: 1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arraigned as accused in Crime No.19 of 2025 on the file of the Taluq Police Station, Nandyal Taluk, Nandyal District, for the alleged offence under sections 316(5), 318(4), 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya sanhita, 2023. 3. The learned counsel further submits that, admittedly, there are certain civil disputes between the petitioner and the 2ndrespondent. The 2ndrespondent has alleged that the petitioner has extended a certain loan from the petitioner and mortgaged certain property towards security. It is further alleged that the 2nd respondent intended to redeem the mortgage property by repaying the amount. However, the petitioner is said to have denied the release of the mortgage property and, as such, the 2nd respondent filed the present complaint. 4. Considering the civil nature of dispute, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the criminal petition, directing the Station -3- CRL.P. No.3475 OF 2025 House Officer, Taluq Police Station, Nandyal, Nandyal District, to complete the investigation in Crime No.19 of 2025 without coercive steps against the petitioner. This would not preclude the investigation officer for filing charge sheet/ final report after completion of the investigation. 5. Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed off. 6.
