Petitioner was engaged as Computer Operator-cum-Junior Assistant on contract through outsourcing agency i.e. UPNL in the year 2010. Petitioner served as such for about three years; thereafter he was re-engaged on 09.06.2015 and continued up till 08.12.2023. Subsequently, selection for regular appointment against the vacancy in which petitioner was engaged, was held and selection process is complete and regularly selected candidate had also joined on the post. 5. According to petitioner, regularly selected candidate, who was appointed against the vacancy in question, subsequently resigned on 05.04.2024, therefore, a vacancy has again occurred on the post of Computer Operator. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner after arguing for a while, confines his prayer and submits that petitioner be permitted to make representation for his re-engagement to the Competent Authority, who may be directed to consider the same in the light of the 2025:UHC:8321 recommendation made by Deputy Director, Factory/Boiler. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make fresh representation, in which he may refer to letter issued by Deputy Director, Factory/Boiler. If petitioner makes representation within two weeks from today, the Competent Authority shall look into the matter and take decision, as per law, within three months thereafter.
