Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for respondent Nos. 1 to 4. Learned Standing Counsel, on the basis of written instructions, submits that for the Gram Panchayat Jagdevpur, a total of 36 applications were received. Although the petitioner is a widow, she does not fall under the below poverty line category. Therefore, Suneeta, wife of Shiv Kumar, who is below the poverty line and has secured 13.02 marks in the merit list, was given first priority and accordingly selected. The petitioner has secured only 4.08 marks. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that as per the income certificate dated 02.04.2022, the petitioner falls under the below poverty line category. Perused the record. On due consideration to the government order dated 21.03.2023 and the advertisement dated 14.03.2024, it is clear that, as per the terms of the advertisement, the income certificate must have been issued within six months prior to the date of the advertisement. Admittedly, the petitioner’s income certificate was issued beyond the permissible six-month period. The writ petition is devoid of merit and is accordingly dismissed. Order Date :- 24.4.2025/R.C.
