SWP No. 262/2016

State of J&K and others …..Respondent(s)

CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE
ORDER 20.12.2025
1. None for the petitioners.
2. This petition was taken up for consideration by this Court on 17.02.2016, when this Court, while issuing notice to respondents for filing objections, also provided, by way of an interim arrangement that the service of the petitioners shall not be substituted by any arrangement of similar nature. The order was directed to remain in force till next date, unless extended.
3. It seems that after obtaining the aforesaid interim directions, the petitioners lost interest in pursuing this petition and it is apparent from the fact that petitioners have not taken any steps to get this petition listed and pursued since February, 2016. Even steps for services of respondents have not been taken.
4. That apart, the final relief prayed for in this petition by the petitioners already stands granted vide interim order dated 17.02.2016, thus obviating the necessity of continuing with this petition.
5. This petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioners are still in service and have not been regularized, they shall not be replaced by an arrangement of similar nature.
