Without making any final assessment, recovery certificate has been issued on 22.02.2025 to the revenue authorities for recovery of Rs. 82,332/-. The petitioner has submitted some objections to the provisional assessment, albeit, belatedly. let it be considered and final assessment made. In view of the above, the order dated 22.02.2025 by which the recovery certificate was issued is hereby quashed. Once the final assessment has been made, the petitioner shall be obliged to pay the same, subject to his right of appeal under Section 127 of the Electricity Act, 2003. If he does not do so, fresh measures can be taken for recovery of the dues, as per law. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
