The instant contempt application has been filed by the applicant alleging disobedience of the order dated 05.02.2025 passed in Matters under Article 227 No. 1095 of 2025. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the application was submitted for renewal of the passport, but as the same was not decided, a writ petition i.e. Writ-C No. 1095 of 2025 was filed before this Court, which was disposed of on 05.02.2025 with the direction that the application of the petitioner be decided expeditiously within a period of six weeks from the date of certified copy of the order. He further submits that a certified copy of the order of this Court was produced before the respondent, then on 13.02.2025, order was passed by the competent authority by saying that information regarding pendency of criminal cases was not disclosed, therefore, renewal cannot be done, and it was also observed that the applicant may apply afresh in pursuance of provisions of GSR 570 (E) dated 25.08.1993 and in the new application, he must disclose the details of criminal antecedents and its result. He also submits that directions of this Court has not been complied with in letter and spirit, hence, the respondent may be summoned and punished accordingly. 4. It is evident from the record that in pursuance of observations made by the Regional Passport Authority in its letter dated 13.02.2025 annexed as Annexure No.5, the applicant has filed fresh application before the respondent. In such circumstances, this Court is of the view that no contempt is made out, accordingly, the contempt application stands dismissed.
