This application has been filed by the petitioner under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 with prayer for bail as he is behind bars since 23.04.2025 in connection with Tezpur P.S. Case No. 276/2025 under Sections 304(2)/3(5) of the BNS corresponding to GR Case No.680/2025. 3. Heard Mr. P. S. Laskar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent State. 4. The allegation against the petitioner is that he has been involved in the offence purchasing stolen articles like the snatched gold chain. The gold chain was snatched away from the informant’s mother. 5. I have considered the submissions at the Bar with circumspection. 6. I have scrutinized the Case Dairy. Investigation has progressed substantially. It appears that further custodial detention may not be required. 7. I have also considered the submission that the petitioner is willing to co- operate with the remaining part of investigation and to abide by any stringent bail conditions if imposed upon him. 8. Considering all aspects, petition is allowed. The petitioner is enlarged on bail of Rs 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand), with a suitable surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Tezpur, Sonitpur, under the conditions that: (i) the petitioner shall refrain from such activities with which he is alleged, Page No.# 3/3 (ii) the petitioner shall appear before the Investigating officer on every fortnight till completion of investigation, and (iii) the petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Court without prior permission. 9.
