The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to issue an enrollment number to the petitioner by completing the formalities, based on her representation dated 06.02.2025. 2.The petitioner states that she completed her Law Degree and enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi on 21.12.2017. Her enrollment number is D/7446/2017. She passed the All India Bar examination in August, 2018. Subsequently, the petitioner shifted her practice from Delhi to Madurai and submitted an application seeking transfer of her enrollment. The transfer application was submitted on 20.10.2020 which is pending. Since there is a delay in processing the application and transferring the enrollment, the present Writ Petition came to be instituted. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent/the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, on instructions, would submit that the application is alive and the process is going on. The genuinity of the Degree certificate 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis W.P(MD)No.10732 of 2025 obtained by the petitioner is in the process of verification and letters have been sent to the Madurai Kamaraj University to find out the genuinity. On receipt of the same, all necessary actions will be initiated to issue a transfer enrollment number to the petitioner. 4.In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to approach the Madurai Kamaraj University for securing a genuinity certificate as expeditiously as possible. On receipt of the same, the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry is directed to complete the process and issue the transfer enrollment number to the petitioner by completing all required formalities as expeditiously as possible. 5.With these directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
