The petitioners allege interference by private parties in construction of their house on land bearing Gata No. 1262 minjumla of which they claim possession. These are not matters to be seen under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. If the police is interfering, the petitioners may approach the Superintendent of Police concerned who shall get the matter inquired and ascertain as to whether the police authorities are interfering in any civil matter, if so under what authority and shall do the needful. It is made clear that we have not at all adjudicated the rights of the petitioners as claimed but have only considered the plea that the police authorities are interfering in the matter. As regards, dispute with the private parties, the petitioners may have to avail other remedies. 3. With the aforesaid observations/directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
