IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH Sr. No.123 TA-174-2025 Date of Decision: 07.02.2025 NANCY ....Applicant Versus VIKAS CHADHA .....Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ARCHANA PURI Present:- Mr. R.S. Rawat, Advocate for the respondent. ***** ARCHANA PURI, J. (Oral) The applicant-wife has filed the present application for seeking transfer of petition under Section 13 of the Hindu Marriage Act i.e. HMA/24/2023, titled ‘Vikas Chadha Vs. Nancy’, filed by the respondent- husband, pending in the Family Court, Panchkula and she seeks transfer of the same to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Chandigarh. It is submitted by the counsel for the applicant that there are three other other cases pending between the parties, in the Courts at Chandigarh and on this account, the applicant seeks transfer. However, the fact remains that Panchkula is a part of Tricity, which has a very well- connected transport network. Moreover, the respondent is a working lady. Considering the same, no such inconvenience is spelt out, for which the transfer of the divorce petition is sought from the Courts at Panchkula, to the Courts at Chandigarh. Hence, the transfer application is dismissed.
