Hon'ble Om Prakash Shukla,J. 1. Heard. 2. Petitioners claim to be tenants of Nagar Palika Parishad, Gonda. They are aggrieved by the proposed enhancement in rent. 3. Learned counsel for Nagar Palika Parishad says that no doubt the petitioners are tenants but he has an objection to the effect that such matters can't be considered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. We find merit in the submission of Sri Anil Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel for Nagar Palika Parishad. 4. We, therefore, see no reason to entertain this writ petition for the reliefs claimed. Nevertheless, once the tenancy is accepted, the petitioners can raise a grievance before Nagar Palika Parishad, Gonda which can consider it as per law but with expedition say within two months. 5. With these observations/ direction, the petition is disposed of. 6. It is made clear that we have not at all adjudicated relationship of tenant and landlord being claimed by the parties and have passed this order only on the statement of counsel for Nagar Palika Parishad that the petitioners are tenants.
