Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:21345-DB Court No. - 2 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 3486 of 2025 Petitioner :- Juli Devi Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home Deptt. Lko. And Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Kishan Tiwari Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Rajan Roy,J. Hon'ble Om Prakash Shukla,J. Heard. The petitioner claims to be the daughter of Late Vipin Kumar and proceedings have been initiated by the petitioner under Section 33 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006 for mutation of her name in respect of the estate of Late Vipin Kumar. During course of argument, it is informed by learned counsel for the petitioner that one Neha Devi, who also claims to be the daughter of Late Vipin Kumar, says that petitioner is not the daughter of Late Vipin Kumar, hence this Writ Petition. It is not a matter where a Writ Petition lies. If the petitioner wants declaration of her status as daughter of Late Vipin Kumar and if it is otherwise permissible, she will have to seek other remedies, as may be prescribed in law. We are not aware of any law under which mutation can be made on the strength of DNA report but we do not express any conclusive opinion in this regard. Suffice is to say that this Writ Petition is not maintainable in the circumstances noticed herein above. The petitioner may avail other remedies. The Writ Petition stands disposed of.
