Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:22813 Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 4023 of 2025 Petitioner :- Shashikanti Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Deptt. Child Development Govt. Of U.P. Lko. And 6 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Rajeev Narayan Pandey,Abdul Rafique,Niteesh Kumar Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Karunesh Singh Pawar,J. 1.Heard learned counsel for the petitioner(s) and learned Standing Counsel who has accepted notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 6. 2.Learned standing counsel, on the basis of written instructions, which are taken on record, submits that total four OnLine applications were received. All the four applicants were above poverty line. Therefore, selection has been made on the basis of merit. One Vimla Devi has secured higher marks, i.e. 12.52 as compared to the petitioner who has secured only 6.66 marks and thus, the petitioner has been out-performed by the selected candidate Vimla Devi. 3.In view of the above, considering that the selection has been made strictly on the basis of merit as also considering the provisions of government order dated 21.3.2023 and the fact that the petitioner has been out-performed by the selected candidate on the basis of merit, there appears to be no illegality in the selection. 4.The petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
