ORDER 03.11.2025 The short grievance projected by the petitioner in the present petition is that a charge-sheet, arising out of FIR No. 73 of 2017, came to be filed against him, in NIA Court Kupwara [<the Trial Court=] for offences under Sections 18, 19, 20 UAPA and 7/25 of Indian Arms Act, in the year 2018. He came to be charged by the Trial Court on 27.12.2022, however, till date learned trial Court has managed to examine only three witnesses out of seven listed in the charge-sheet. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied if learned Trial Court is directed to conclude the trial within a timeframe. Having regard to the limited nature of controversy and an innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the trial Court to conclude the trial with expedition, preferably within a period of four months, from the date a copy of this order is made available.
