GP FOR SOCIAL WELFARE The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not releasing the financial assistance to the daughter of the petitioner under Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme vide Application ID No.OV2018115171, as illegal and arbitrary. 2 2. Grievance of the petitioner is that 3rd respondent Corporation has introduced a scheme known as ‘Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme’ to provide financial assistance of Rs.10.00 lakhs to financially and socially weaker members of the Kapu community residing in the State of Andhra Pradesh, for pursuing studies overseas in recognized universities, covering tuition fee and living expenses. Daughter of the petitioner also applied for the said scheme and her name was approved by the Selection Committee. However, even after she joined the college abroad, respondent No.3 has not sanctioned the financial assistance till date. 3. Heard both the learned counsel. Perused the record. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the issue involved in this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order dated 05.03.2024 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.2984 of 2024 and requested to pass a similar order in this Writ Petition also. The same is not disputed by the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 5. In view of the same and for the reasons alike in the aforesaid order, this Writ Petition is also disposed of, in terms of the order dated 05.03.2024 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.2984 of 2024, directing the respondents to release the sanctioned amount/installment under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme’, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs. 3 6. Registry is directed to attach a copy of the order dated 05.03.2024 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.2984 of 2024 to this order. 7.
