Suresh, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 3 and Mrs. M. Monorama Devi, learned counsel appearing for the respondents No. 4 & 5. [2] On the request made on behalf of the parties in this writ petition, the matter has been referred for mediation for exploring the possibilities of an amicable settlement. After rounds of mediation, the Appointed Mediator submitted a report dated 17.05.2025 wherein, it has been reflected that the dispute between the parties have been amicably settled. Yumnam (O) Premila Devi & Anr ....Petitioner -vs- State of Manipur; & Ors .....Respondents TERMS OF SETTLEMENT 17th May, 2025 Petitioner along with her counsel is present. Respondent No. 4 along with her counsel is also present. Heard at length. The real dispute is between the Petitioner and Respondent No. 4. After hearing the parties, they came to an amicable settlement under the following terms and conditions:- TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1) Petitioner and Respondent No. 4 have agreed to share 50:50 of the GlS Insurance, GIS Savings, GIS Interest, GPF Final Payment, Manipur Police Risk Fund, Death Gratuity and Leave Encashment of Yumnam Sushilkumar Singh (now deceased) which includes already withdrawn by Respondent No.4 i.e. Rs. 47,350 + Rs. 1,20,000 + Rs.15,764+ Rs.50,384 + Rs. 15,37,993+ Rs.35,000 = Rs. 18,06,491 (already drawn by Respondent No.4)+ Rs. 20,00,000 + Rs. 7,68,260 (pending for withdrawal)= Rs.45,74,751/-. Further, respondent No. 4 has agreed to give half of the aforesaid amount i.e. Rs. 22,87,375.5/- to the Petitioner from the amount which is not withdrawn from the Government as on today. 2) All the pensionary benefits are to be enjoyed by Respondent No.4. 3) The due loan amount of S.B.I, Moirang is to be cleared by the Petitioner whereas Respondent No.4 has to clear the loan of PDA. 4) Petitioner has further agreed to deposit Rs 5,00,000/-(Rupees Five Lakhs) only as fix deposit in the name of Yumnam Supriya Devi till she attain majority. All the parties put their respective signatures in cool and sound mind without any inducement from any angle. Hence, this mediation is SETTLED. [4] All the parties in this writ petition are directed to take up appropriate steps to impleadment the above quoted terms and conditions of the settlement as early as possible.
