Kaminikumar, learned CGC appearing for the respondents no. 1 & 2 and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents no. 3 & 4. [2] In this present writ petition, the petitioner approached this Court for appointment of an arbitrator in terms of Section 3G(5) of the National Highway Act, 1956 for executing the claim for the enhancement of compensation passed by the competent authority. [3] In the counter affidavit filed by the respondents no. 1 & 2, it is stated that vide Gazette Notification dated 10.10.2024, Secretary (Fisheries), Govt. of Manipur has been designated as an arbitrator in terms of Section 3G(5) of the NH Act, for the revenue districts of Imphal East, Thoubal, Ukhrul, Kamjong and Kangpokpi. [4] It is submitted that the land of the petitioner is situated in Kangpokpi district and as arbitrator has been appointed in terms of the notification dated 10.10.2024, the present writ petition be closed. [5] The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 2(two) weeks’ time may be given to approach the arbitrator for filing statement of claim.
