Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. By this petition, the petitioner seeks for the following prayers:- (i) Issue a writ, order or direction in nature of MANDAMUS commanding and directing the opposite parties specially i.e. opposite party no. 1 to release his entire retirement and pensionary benefits occurred on the basis of notional promotion after his retirement vide his order dated 11.02.2022 w.e.f. 28.06.2013, in the interest of justice. (ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the opposite parties to release his all retirement and pensionary benefits on the basis of notional promotion w.e.f. 28.06.2013 to the petitioner along with interest rate of 9% per annum from the date of such promotion to the date of actual payment, in the interest of justice. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would be suffice if the petitioner is permitted to submit a representation raising his grievances to respondent no. 1, with a direction to decide the same within a stipulated period. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer. Considering the above, the petitioner is directed to submit a representation before respondent no. 1 within two weeks from today and in case, such a representation is submitted, the same shall be decided by respondent no. 1 within a further period of four weeks by passing a reasoned and speaking order.
