Heard Sri Bathina Ratnakara Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner; and Sri A. Ravindra Babu, learned counsel for the 1st respondent. 3. The petitioner is challenging the order vide CO:ERC:DA:2409:2024, dated 22.03.2024, issued by the 3rd respondent, exercising powers under Regulation 4(h) of the Union Bank of India Officer Employees’ (Discipline & Appeal) Regulations, 1976, (for short, ‘the Regulations, 1976’), imposing the major punishment of compulsory retirement. 4. Against the aforesaid order passed by the 3rd respondent, an appeal is stated to be provided for under the same Regulations before the appellate authority. 3 CGR, J W.P.No.8315 of 2025 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing the matter for some time, seeks liberty to approach the appellate authority. 6. Recording the said submission, the present Writ Petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal before the appellate authority, as provided under the provisions of the Regulations, 1976. There shall be no order as to costs.
