After hearing learned counsel for the parties, we are satisfied that our order dated 16th December, 2024 has been complied with to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. We dispose of this public interest litigation with the following directions: (i) the government will suitably mark the speed brakers so that they are discernable from a reasonable distance; (ii) it would be desirable if the speed brakers are preceded by a signage, wherever possible so that the motorists can be made aware of the need to reduce speed; (iii) the State is to ensure that speed detection devices, wherever required are suitably installed and maintained.
