N CRIMINAL PETITION No.3464 OF 2025 ORDER: 1. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was arraigned as A.2 in F.I.R. No.29 of 2025 on the file of the Bhimavaram Prohibition and Excise Station, Tanuku, West Godavari District, for the alleged offence under section 34(a) read with 34(1)(i) read with 9(1) of the Andhra Pradesh Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2023. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was implicated as an accused solely based on the alleged confession of A.1. It is further submitted that the mediator’s report does not specifically indicate the involvement of the petitioner in the commission of the alleged crime. 4. It is also submitted that the Excise police visited the residence of A.1 on 07.03.2025 at 2:00 PM. This claim is supported by electronic evidence and CCTV camera footage, which would be substantiating evidence. -3- CRL.P. No.3464 OF 2025 5. Be that as it may, there shall be a direction to the Station House Officer, Bhimavaram Prohibition and Excise Station, Tanuku, West Godavari District, to complete the investigation in Crime No.29 of 2025 without coercive steps against the petitioner. This would not preclude the investigation officer for filing charge sheet/ final report after completion of the investigation. 6. With these observations, the criminal petition is disposed off. 7.
