Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:20221-DB Court No. - 2 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 3441 of 2025 Petitioner :- Lakshya Thru. Its Guardian Rita Devi Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Addl. Chief Secy. Home U.P. Lko. And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Sachichida Nand Shukla,Madan Gopal Tripathi,Shivam Kumar Mishra Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Rajan Roy,J. Hon'ble Om Prakash Shukla,J. Heard. This writ petition has been filed in the name of a minor through his alleged guardian, the paternal grandmother, seeking a Mandamus to the opp. party No. 5, mother of the petitioner, that she should facilitate visitation rights to the paternal grandparents. We fail to understand as to how a writ petition is maintainable. Remedy would be under the relevant statute governing the subject, such as Hindu Minority and Guardianship Act 1956 or the Guardian and Wards Act 1890, whichever may be applicable, or if there is a cause, to file a writ of habeas corpus, or seek such other remedies as may be permissible in law, but writ petition will not lie for the said purpose. With these observations this writ petition is disposed of. (Om Prakash Shukla, J.) (Rajan Roy, J.)
