This criminal misc. application is filed under Section 528 of B.N.S.S. by the petitioner/accused for quashing of the charge-sheet dated 18.03.2020, summoning/cognizance order dated 29.08.2020 as well as the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No. 1443 of 2020 (Case Crime No. 14 of 2020), titled as “State vs. Vijendra Rawat” pending in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal under Sections 498- A & 323 of IPC, P.S. Kotwali Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal qua the petitioner/accused, in view of the compromise arrived at between the parties. 2. In view of the fact that a Compounding 2025:UHC:2237 2 Application was filed by the parties before this Court, this Court vide order dated 06.12.2024 had directed the parties to appear before the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, District Pauri Garhwal in order to get their statements recorded and to verify the compromise deed. 3. Pursuant to such order, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, District Pauri Garhwal has submitted her report dated 17.12.2024 which clearly indicates that the parties have settled the dispute amicably and have also verified the contents of the compromise. 4. In view of the above, Compounding Application (IA No.1 of 2024) is allowed. As a consequence thereof, the charge-sheet dated 18.03.2020, summoning/cognizance order dated 29.08.2020 as well as the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No. 1443 of 2020 (Case Crime No. 14 of 2020), titled as “State vs. Vijendra Rawat” pending in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kotdwar, District Pauri Garhwal under Sections 498- A & 323 of IPC, P.S.
