BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI ORDER 01.08.2025 Heard Shri AHMR Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Shri J. Handique, learned State Counsel as well as Ms. G. Hazarika, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue Department. 2. The grievance of the petitioners is that online application was submitted vide acknowledgment No.NOC/21/42401/2025 dated 18.02.2025 for NOC/Sale Permission and according to the petitioners, stipulated date for delivery of service in terms of Assam Right to Public Services Act, 2012 was 04.04.2025, however, till date, no order has been uploaded. 3. On 02.06.2025, when this matter had come up for consideration, time was granted to the learned State Counsel to obtain instructions which was reiterated on subsequent dates. 4. Shri Handique, learned State Counsel has placed before this Court a copy of the written instructions dated 31.07.2025, as per which the online application of the petitioners was rejected on the basis of a Government notification relating to non-submission of certified copy of the 1971 Electoral Roll to determine the citizenship. 5. Shri Chouodhury, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that
Page No.# 3/3 the aforesaid reason could have been communicated to the petitioners enabling them to have the said document. 6. Be that as it may, in view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, there is no reason to continue further with this writ petition and accordingly the same is closed. The petitioners would be at liberty to submit a fresh application along with document mentioned above in which case the same is required to be considered in accordance with law. 7.
