Pursuant to the report so submitted earlier and the directions passed thereafter, compliance have been made by the Officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station. There are festivals which are forthcoming in the first two weeks of April, 2025. In view of the nature of the complaint for which the jurisdiction of this court was invoked under Article 226 of the Constitution of India as also the fact that sentiments of different individuals are involved till the rituals and the festivals are over, the learned District Judge, Nadia having its office at Krishnagar will monitor whole of the issues as to whether there is any dispute and difference amongst the group of people who approached this Court and, to that effect, the learned District Judge, Nadia would call for a report every three days from the Officer-in- charge of Kaliganj Police Station till the festival is over. In case, any crisis arise, the learned District Judge, Nadia will direct the Superintendent of Police, Nadia to deploy sufficient number of police personnel and under those circumstances the learned District Judge, Nadia will direct the Superintendent of Police, Nadia to personally monitor the issues so that things do not flare up during the festival season. Effective steps must be taken by the police authorities and the administration to dissuade the problems. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 5071 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner. The learned Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta will communicate this order to the learned District & Sessions Judge, Nadia. Mr. Swapan Banerjee, learned Additional Government Pleader, was directed to appear and communicate with the police authorities of Nadia.
