The application of the petitioner for issuance of character certificate has been rejected, albeit, by cryptic uploading of a recital - 'Rejected' based on the report submitted. Nothing else has been stated. This is not how such applications are to be decided. Even if, the result is to uploaded, either a reasoned order should be uploaded or it should be provided to the petitioner separately, but such uploading of cryptic observations is not in consonance with the principles of natural justice nor the law of the land. We, accordingly, direct the opposite party no. 2 to take a considered and reasoned decision on the application of the petitioner for issuance of character certificate within a period of three weeks and communicate it to the petitioner in writing. The writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
