Heard the counsel for the applicant. The present contempt application has been filed pleading willful disobedience of the order dated 20.12.2024 passed by this Court in Writ - B No. 4695 of 2024. Writ - B No. 4695 of 2024 was filed challenging the order passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation in a revision arising out of allotment proceedings. Through order dated 20.12.2024, this Court had stayed the operation of the order passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation and also directed the parties to maintain status-quo. It is not the case of the applicant that the status-quo has been disturbed by the opposite parties because of delivery of chaks by the consolation authorities in pursuance to the order passed by the Deputy Director of Consolidation. The case of the applicant is that the opposite parties have forcibly evicted the applicant from the disputed plot. The act of the opposite parties may be illegal but does not amount to contempt of court as the order dated 20.12.2024 was not an injunction order. The application is dismissed.
