GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING The Court made the following: ORAL ORDER: Heard Sri Vardhineedi Sai Kiran, learned Counsel for the Writ Petitioner and Sri P. Rajesh Kumar, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. 2. The present Writ Petition is filed seeking release of the amounts pending with regard to the final bill along with interest. The total amount claimed by the Writ Petitioner is Rs.10,77,843/-. 3. Sri P. Rajesh Kumar, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development has submitted the Written Instruction furnished by the Executive Engineer, PRI Division, Machilipatnam. Copy of it 3 is supplied to the Counsel for the Writ Petitioner and the same is taken on record. 4. The Payment Summary of the Written Instruction would indicate that the value of the total work done by the Writ Petitioner is for a sum of Rs.13,24,546/-. An amount of Rs.1,47,202/- has been withheld for the purpose of Quality Control as well as for Tax Recovery. 5. The Official Respondents would admit that the Writ Petitioner is entitled for an amount of Rs.11,77,344/- as full and final settlement which includes interest, if any. 6. Sri Vardhineedi Sai Kiran, learned Counsel for the Writ Petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the Writ Petitioner would accept the sum of Rs.11,77,344/- as full and final settlement (which also includes the interest component) on the condition that the amounts are paid to the Writ Petitioner expeditiously. 7. In this view of the matter, the Official Respondents are directed to complete the entire inter-departmental administrative process by coordination and cooperation with each other within a period of twelve (12) weeks from today. The Official Respondents shall then transfer an amount of 4 Rs.11,77,344/-, as full and final settlement into the Bank Account of the Writ Petitioner within a period of four (04) weeks thereafter. 8. The Writ Petitioner is directed to submit the Bank details of his Bank Account to the Official Respondents within one (01) week, for effective compliance. 9. With these observations and directions, the Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. 10.
