The mother of the petitioner died in the year 2006. Shri Vimlesh Kumar Rai, learned counsel for the respondent submits that the son of the deceased employee was provided appointment on compassionate grounds and has been working ever since. Admittedly the provident fund amount has been disbursed to the petitioner. The release of other dues cannot be confirmed due to weeding out of the old records. The petitioner has approached this Court after a delay of almost two decades. There is no explanation for the said delay. The petition is barred by delay and laches. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
