FARHAT BANO BEIGH AND ORS. …Appellant(s)/Petitioner(s) Through: Mr. Jahangir Iqbal Ganai, Sr. Advocate Mr. Arif Sikander, Advocate Vs. ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND ORS. ...Respondent(s) Through: Mr. Ilyas Laway, GA Mr. Jahingeer A Dar, GA CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL-JUDGE ORDER 03.11.2025 Counsel for the petitioners has relied upon a Judgment passed in a batch of writ petitions with lead case bearing WP(C) no.708/2023 titled Mushtaq Ahmad Shah vs. University of Kashmir and others, in support of their contention. The only question to determine as to whether while making academic arrangements, persons, who have already been engaged for such purpose, could be replaced by new ones. This issue has been considered and decided in afore-cited judgement, which is not being disputed by learned counsel appearing for the respondents. Therefore, instant petitions, being covered in terms of the aforesaid Judgment, are disposed of, accordingly on the same lines. In view of the disposal of the writ petitions, the contempt petitions do not survive and are closed, as such.
