PUBLIC PROSECUTOR (AP) The Court made the following: ORDER: This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking to quash the proceedings in FIR.No.960 of 2020, on the file of Special Enforcement Bureau Station, Rajamahendravram South, East Godavari District. 2. When the petition came up for hearing on 23.04.2021, this Court has passed the following order: “…In the circumstances, investigation may go on, however, since the role of the petitioner has been brought in only on the basis of the alleged confession by accused No.3, it would be appropriate to direct the investigating officer to complete the investigation without taking any coercive steps against the petitioner unless there is any material over and beyond the confessional statement of accused No.3 to make out any offence against the petitioner.” 3. Today when the petition is taken up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has produced a copy of instructions of the Prohibition and Excise Inspector, Prohibition and Excise Station, Rajamahendravaram South, wherein it is stated that during the course of investigation, they have examined six witnesses and the investigation is under process. 4. In view of the fact that the investigation in the present case was not stalled by this Court and as no charge sheet has been filed till date, the Police are directed to file a charge sheet in the present petition after completion of the investigation as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the Police are directed not to take any coercive steps against the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, this criminal petition is disposed of.
