Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for respondent nos.1 to 5. By this petition, the petitioners have prayed for the following relief:- "(i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite parties to make payment of the arrear of salary of the petitioner no. 1 and 2 due since June, 2021 and May, 2021 to till date respectively along with 6% annual interest till the actual date of payment. (ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus to direct the opposite parties to make payment of the salary regularly month to month to the petitioners without any hindrance." After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioners confines his prayer to the extent that the representation of the petitioners may be directed to be decided by respondent no.3. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection to this innocuous prayer. Perused the record. Considering the above, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to move a fresh representation separately to respondent no.3 i.e. District Magistrate, Ambedkar Nagar within two weeks' from today. If the petitioners namely, Anand Kumar Gupta and Gaya Prasad submit a fresh representation, the respondent no.3 shall decide the same within four weeks' thereafter, by passing a speaking and reasoned order.
