Mazumdar, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. B. Sarma, learned CGC for the respondent. Ms. B. Sarma, learned CGC submits that the transfer order put to challenge in the present writ petition issued by the respondent dated 19.02.2024 where the name of the petitioner appears on the civil no. 1, whereby she was transferred from Guwahati to West Bengal (Mahila Battalion). However, today when the matter is called up learned CGC has submitted before the Court an Office Memorandum dated 08.08.2024 whereby the transfer order in respect of the writ petitioner has been canceled and she has been retained in Guwahati till the Summer Chain Transfer-2025. A copy of this Office Memorandum is placed before the Court, which is kept in the case records. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the Page No.# 3/3 communication nothing further survived in the writ petition. Accordingly, the same may be closed. Taking into consideration the submission made by the learned counsel for the parties in view of the cancellation of the impugned transfer order and retention of the petitioner in Guwahati till Summer Chain Transfer-2025, the writ petition stands closed as infructuous.
