The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the non-release of the bill amount of Rs.27,37,666/-, inclusive of taxes. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that tenders were invited on 02.12.2023 for the work titled “Providing CC Internal Road and Internal Drains at Prakasam School Road, S.Atchuthapuram in 48th Division GGMP.” The petitioner participated in the said tender process and was declared the successful bidder. Consequently, Agreement No. 262/2023-24 dated 29.01.2024 was executed by the petitioner. The petitioner completed the contract work within the stipulated time. However, as the amount due was not paid, the present writ petition has been filed. 3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Corporation, based on instructions signed by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Kakinada, states that although the petitioner completed the work, the payment could not be made as the bill is pending before the Pay & Accounts Officer, Kakinada, for further processing, subject to the release of budget by the Government. 3 4. In view of the above, since there is no dispute regarding the execution of the work or the amount due to the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with the following direction: The respondent authorities are directed to release the payment to the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
