The petitioner, through the medium of present petition has sought a direction upon the respondents to update his service book and to sanction and release all consequential service benefits including increments, revised pay allowances etc forthwith with effect from the date the same has become due to him. 2. The case of the petitioner is that his service book was seized by the Crime Branch in connection with investigation of FIR No. 19/2011 whereafter the said service book of the petitioner came to be released in favour of the Department pursuant to court order. It has been submitted that despite release of P a g e | 2 WP(C) 2800/2025 CM(7407/2025) service book of the petitioner, entries with regard to increments are not being updated by the respondents, as a result of which, he has been deprived of service benefits. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to treat the present petition as representation on his behalf and a decision thereon is taken in a time bound manner. 4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the present writ petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioner and accord consideration to his case for release of service benefits in accordance with law. Needful shall be done by the respondents most expeditiously preferably within a period of two months from the date a copy of the writ petition as well as copy of the order are provided by the petitioner to the respondents. 5.
