1. In terms of order dated 22.04.2024, the respondents were directed to initiate and conclude the acquisition proceedings in respect of the land measuring 17 Marlas comprising survey No. 666, situated at village Dharamkot, Tehsil Billawar, District Kathua, over which the building of Veterinary Dispensary was constructed by the respondents and pay the appropriate compensation to the persons entitled thereto, including the petitioners, in accordance with law.
2. Statement of facts stands filed by the respondents, stating therein that in compliance to the directions of this Court, indent has been placed before the Deputy Commissioner, Kathua vide communication dated 12.03.2026 and compensation amount to the tune of Rs. 30.70 Lacs vide bill dated 21.01.2026 stands placed at the disposal of ADC, Billawar for further necessary action. 3. Deputy Commissioner, Kathua was not arrayed as respondent in the main petition, consequently, he does not figure as respondent in the instant contempt petition.
4. Be that as it may, in view of the above, proceedings in the instant contempt petition are closed with liberty to the petitioners to approach the Collector concerned for release of the compensation, in favour of the persons entitled thereto including the petitioners, in accordance with the judgment dated 22.04.2024, passed by the Writ Court.
