The petitioner claims compensation in terms Scheme framed under Section 161 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, as, the husband of the petitioner died in a hit and run case on 02.04.2022, as claimed. 3. It is informed that the District Magistrate is the settlement Commissioner under the aforesaid Scheme. 4. Let the opposite party no. 1- District Magistrate, Lucknow, if he is competent, take a decision in the matter if the application of the petitioner has been filed, say, within a period of two months. 5. It is open for the petitioner to move a fresh application which would be considered accordingly itself as per law. 6. With the aforesaid observations/directions, the writ petition is disposed of. .
