This petition is filed seeking a mandamus to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the application dated 19.11.2024 filed by the petitioners vide Annexure-B seeking transfer of khatha to their names. 2. It is stated in the said representation of the petitioners that they had purchased the property in question from the previous owner Sri D.S.R.L.S.N. Murthy under the registered Sale Deed and therefore, the khatha would have to be registered in their names. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:3830 WP No. 1152 of 2025 3. In my view, since the petitioners claim for registration of khatha in their names on the basis of the registered Sale Deed, it would be incumbent on the 2nd respondent to dispose of the application filed by the petitioners vide Annexure-B. If any other documents are required, the 2nd respondent shall issue notice to the petitioners indicating the same and thereafter shall register the khatha in the names of the petitioners. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
