Petitioner is resident of Mohalla Teliyan Kasba Kaliyar, District Haridwar. According to him, respondent Nos. 4 to 7 have made encroachment over public land belonging to the Gram Sabha. 3. It is further contended that petitioner has made representations to the competent authority to remove such encroachment but no decision has been taken thereupon. Along with writ petition, two representations dated 04.07.2017 and 20.06.2024 are enclosed, which allegedly have not been considered. 4. We, therefore, dispose of the writ petition with liberty to petitioner to make fresh representation to the District Magistrate, Haridwar within two weeks. If petitioner makes such representation within stipulated time, District Magistrate, Haridwar shall have the matter examined by an officer not below the rank of Sub Division Officer and pass necessary order as per law within six months from date of receipt of such representation. 5. It goes without saying that before passing any order on petitioner’s representation, persons who are likely to be affected, shall also be given opportunity of hearing. (Ashish Naithani, J.)
