The petitioners had filed an application before the respondent no.1 to register the petitioner no.2 under the name of “Kabristan, Kargi Grant, Banjarawala Mafi, Dehradun” in the Uttarakhand Waqf Board as per Section 36 of the Waqf Act, 1995. 3. Heard Mr. Bhupesh Kandpal, learned counsel for the petitioners, Ms. Ahrar Baig, learned counsel for the respondent no.1 through video conferencing and Mr. Devendra Singh Bohra, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent no.2. 2025:UHC:445 2 4. Mr. Bhupesh Kandpal, Advocate, has submitted that the application is still pending before the respondent no.1. He has requested to decide the present petition by directing the respondent no.1 to decide the said application as expeditiously as possible. 5. Ms. Ahrar Baig, learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.1, has sought eight weeks’ time to decide the said application. 6. With the consent of both the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.1 to decide the petitioners’ application by a reasoned order and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, but not later than eight weeks’ from the date of production of the certified copy of this order. 7.
