Also heard Mr. K K Das, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam. 2. This application has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Md. Injamul Haque @ Riki has prayed for releasing him on bail, after he was Page No.# 2/2 arrested in connection with Sootea P.S. Case No. 50/2025. 3. The father of the petitioner and the petitioner himself were running an illegal slaughtering house, wherefrom 16 numbers of cows were recovered. It is alleged that the petitioner could not show proper documents relating to the 16 numbers of cows. Police suspected that those 16 cows might be stolen properties. 4. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 5. The petitioner has already spent 26 days in judicial custody. 6. This Court is of the opinion that considering the period of detention of the petitioner in custody, his bail application deserves to be accepted. Accordingly the bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 7. It is hereby directed that the petitioner, Md. Injamul Haque @ Riki, who was arrested in connection with Sootea P.S. Case No. 50/2025, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Biswanath Chariali.
