The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is an old lady, alleging that her son respondent no.6 is trying to dispossess from her property owned by her after the death of her husband, for which an application has already been moved on 30.04.2024 before the District Magistrate, Shrawasti. 3. Considering the fact that an 'Act' has been enacted known as "the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007", the present petition is disposed off directing the District Magistrate Shrawasti to treat the representation dated 30.04.2024 to be an application under the Senior Citizen Act and to pass orders in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within a period of two weeks. 4. The petitioner would also be entitled to file a copy of the said application along with the copy of this order before the District Magistrate, Shrawasti who shall pass orders in terms of the directions issued herein above.
