It is submitted that since June 1. 2024, the petitioners have been unable to live in the village on account of actions of respondent Nos.3 to 6, who have restricted the petitioners from entering the village. It is further submitted that respondent No.3 to 6 have not allowed the petitioners to live in the village, despite representations dated 07.10.2024 and 03.03.2025, made to respondent No.3, which have yielded no results. 2. The learned Senior Counsel further submits that elections for the Upa- Sarpanch of Bommireddypalli Village, Veldurthy Mandal, Kurnool District, are scheduled for 27.03.2025, and the petitioners ought to exercise their right to vote. 3. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that a murder occurred in the village on 09.06.2024, and based on a complaint from the father of the deceased. Crime No.92 of 2024 was registered against the accused. It is further submitted, based on written instructions from the Sub-Inspector of Police, Veldurthy Police Station, that petitioner Nos. 15 to 22 have been implicated in the above murder case. 3 HN, J W.P.No.7938 2025 % It is further submitted by the learned Government Pleader that the petitioners and their relatives have not been residing in the village due to their own personal reasons, such as the education of their children, and that some families have left the village for eking out their living outside the village. It is also submitted that respondent No.3 to 6 did not force the petitioners to leave the village. Following the murder, a police picket was established in the village to maintain surveillance and prevent conflict between rival parties. The situation in the village has since become peaceful. 4. Learned .Government Pleader further submits that the petitioners can now return to the village without fear, as the police are willing to provide the necessary protection to ensure their peaceful residence. The learned Government Pleaded also submits that the petitioners to produce their identity 5. cards, along with those of their family members, to confirm their intention to reside in the Bommireddypalli Village, Veldurthy Mandal, Kurnool District. The learned Senior Counsel submits that the petitioners are not 6. permitted to conduct their agricultural work in their lands, and that their properties have been destroyed, and relies on the photographs showing vehicles that were destroyed by the rivals in village. Considering the submissions of both the learned Senior Counsel and the learned Government Pleader, appearing for the State, respondent Nos.3 7. to 6 are hereby directed to ensure peace in the Bommireddypalli Village, Veldurthy Mandal, Kurnool District. The petitioners ''■'^ng with their family 4 HN, J W.P.No.7938 2025 members, shall furnish the relevant details to respondent No.6 and upon furnishing of such details by the petitioners, respondent Nos.3 to 6 shall ensure that the police picket, with adequate personnel, is deployed to maintain peace and order in the village. Furthermore, respondent Nos.3 to 6 are directed not to interfere with the agricultural activities of the petitioners. With these observations, the writ petition is disposed off.
