By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities to issue joining letter for the post of Sub-Inspector as the petitioner was successfully passed the examination. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of the petitioner’s name found in the select list, the petitioner is not being appointed for the post of the Sub-Inspector. 3. Learned counsel for the State/respondents, on instructions, submits that there are eleven selected candidates whose character verification is going on and still pending and the name of the petitioner is also in the said list of eleven candidates, hence, the writ petition filed by the petitioner at this state is per-mature. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the pleadings. 5. In view of submission made by learned counsel for the State, the writ petition is disposed of at this stage by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority within appropriate time. 6.
