This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, namely- Mohidul Ali Sheikh who was arrested in connection with Kokrajhar P.S. Case No.06/2025. 3. In the intervening night of 05.01.2025 and 06.01.2025 two cows were stolen from the house of the informant. Later on, stolen cows were recovered while they were being transported in a vehicle bearing registration No.AS-01-FY-3367. 4. The applicant was arrested on the ground he had admitted before police that he had committed the offence. 5. The applicant has been in custody since 07.05.2025. 6. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 7. Considering the period of detention already undergone by the applicant and also considering the fact that the stolen property has already been recovered, the applicant does not deserve to be detained in custody for any further period of time. His bail application is allowed. 8. The applicant Mohidul Ali Sheikh who was arrested in connection with Kokrajhar P.S. Case No.06/2025, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kokrajhar.
