Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Chief Standing Counsel for respondent nos.1 to 4. The petition seeks direction to the opposite parties to consider the case of the petitioner for transfer from District Fatehpur to District Meerut where wife of the petitioner is working, on sympathetic grounds. Learned Chief Standing Counsel has submitted that the petitioner can give appropriate application before the Director General of Police (Establishment)/Senior Superintendent of Police Meerut for redressal of his grievance along with his marriage certificate in terms of the guidelines for transfer of police personnel and in case such application is given by the petitioner to the respondent no.2, the same will be considered and decided in accordance with law. In view of the above and with the consent of parties' counsel, the petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to respondent no.2 strictly in terms of the guidelines for transfer of the police personnel, within two weeks' from today. In case such representation is given, the same shall be considered and decided sympathetically by respondent no.2 within a further period of two weeks'.
