Also heard Mr. M P Goswami, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam. 2. This application has been filed under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner Jayanta Ray has prayed for releasing him on bail, after he was arrested in connection with Bongaigaon G.R.P.S. Case No. 59/2025. Page No.# 2/2 3. The petitioner was caught red handed while he was carrying 3.4 kg ganja, which is of intermediate quantity. 4. I have considered the submissions made by the learned counsel of both sides. 5. The petitioner has already spent 43 days in judicial custody. 6. This Court is of the opinion that considering the period of detention spent by the petitioner in judicial custody, his bail application deserves to be accepted. Accordingly the bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 7. It is hereby directed that the petitioner, Jayanta Ray, who was arrested in connection with Bongaigaon G.R.P.S. Case No. 59/2025, shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Bongaigaon.
