Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:16843-DB Court No. - 2 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 2827 of 2025 Petitioner :- Surendra Singh Respondent :- State Of Up Thru. Secy. Revenue Deptt. And 4 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Lokendra Kumar Gupta,Mirza Humayun Qadar,Ravendra Pratap Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Rajan Roy,J. Hon'ble Om Prakash Shukla,J. Heard. Based on the basis of some auction conducted for recovery of dues from the erstwhile land owner as arrears of land revenue, the petitioner claims to have purchased the land in question way back in 2007, but till date the Collector has not handed over possession of the said land to the petitioner. Copy of sale-certificate is annexed as Annexure-2 and it is dated 03.01.2008. We fail to understand as to why the petitioner has approached this court after almost 18 years. If a suit for possession was to be filed, there would be a limitation applicable. We do not know who has been in possession all these years and whether any rights have accrued in his favour based on such possession, we, therefore, cannot interfere in the matter after such delay, however, this order shall not come in the way if the Collector, Hardoi, already seized with the matter. In fact, it shall be open to the petitioner to approach the Collector Hardoi raising his grievance. With these observations this writ petition is disposed of. (Om Prakash Shukla, J.) (Rajan Roy, J.)
