This application has been filed under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita(BNSS), 2023 in respect of Abhayapuri P.S. Case No. 104/2025. 3. The wife of the present petitioner had committed suicide by hanging. The sister of the deceased had lodged the FIR before police alleging that the petitioner was maintaining an extra marital relationship with another woman and he also mentally harassed the deceased. 4. According to the informant, the petitioner had abetted the commission of suicide by his wife. 5. The petitioner submits that the deceased had earlier married another person, namely, Dharmendra Barman and from him, she had a child. After that her marriage with Dharmendra Barman was dissolved and thereafter, she started to maintain relationship with a person, called Rahul Rabha and thereafter, she married the present petitioner. 6. According to the petitioner, she wanted to reconcile her relationship with Dharmendra Barman. Therefore, there were quarrels with the deceased. 7. The D.V. Case was also filed by the deceased. The law on the subject is already settled. Therefore, without any elaborate discussions on the point, the bail application of the petitioner is allowed. 8. It is hereby directed that in the event of arrest in connection with Abhayapuri P.S. Case No. 104/2025, the petitioner Ranjan Kumar Ray, shall be released on bail of Rs. 20,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the arresting authority with a condition that he shall co-operate with the Investigating Officer as and when so required.
